How can I subscribe to Leadership Matters?

There are two ways to activate a subscription:

Is it for a single school and you’re able to pay online? Navigate to Join and purchase online

For any other case, including when an invoice is needed, contact us at info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080 so we can set this up for you.

What is the pricing structure for Leadership Matters?

Our pricing structure is based on the number of pupils in a school. This scale starts at 1-99 pupils and goes to 2,500+ pupils. All our pricing information can be found in the ‘Pricing’ section of our website. If you’re enquiring on behalf of a MAT or LA, please contact info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you would like to cancel your Leadership Matters subscription, please contact info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080. This will be actioned at once and activate from the end date of your current subscription.

What is the process to re-subscribe my account?

All Leadership Matters accounts are on an automatic renewal basis, unless stated otherwise. Your school’s Lead User will be notified of the renewal three weeks in advance. We will also give your school a call to confirm that all existing contacts detail are correct prior to the renewal. If you wish to re-activate a previous subscription, please contact info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080.

Can I change the Admin on my school account?

If you would like us to change the Admin or add additional Admins onto your subscription, please contact info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080. We will need your school's name and postcode; plus, the first name, surname and email address of the person you would like to assign administrative rights to. Please note this can take up to 24 hours to come into effect.

Can I add a user from a different School?

Unfortunately, you cannot add a user to your subscription from a different school. Each subscription is appointed to one school, if someone at a different school would like to join Leadership Matters, their school would have to purchase a subscription.

Can I change the Lead User on my school account?

If you would like us to change the Lead User or add additional Lead Users onto your subscription, please contact  info@leadershipmatters.org.uk or call us on 02082219080. We will need your school's name and postcode; plus, the full name and email address of the person you would like to assign administrative rights to. Please note this can take up to 24 hours to come into effect.

How do I add an additional user account for my school?

Only an Admin for your school account can add, remove and manage users.

Log in > Click Name > Admin Area > Our Subscriptions > View Assigned

This will show all staff within the school's account.

To add new staff click ‘Assign’ and you will have the option to create a new user account

There is no limit to the number of users a school can have – as long as they are from your school!

Can I review or amend my Diagnostic Tools that are in progress?

Once logged in, you can view all existing data and open reports by heading to your ‘Dashboard’. Your dashboard is completely tailored to you, and a hub in which you can pick up where you left off, add more participants to a 360 review, re-open a closed 360 review, edit an LM Survey and much more!

How do I know which piece of content I should be doing next as part of my Leadership Matters development?

When you log into Leadership Matters, you’ll see the section pictured below. It tells you what content you’ll need to complete to progress. Under the LM Pathways heading, you’ll see which Pathway you are currently following as well as all the content for the Pathway.

What are Learning Resources?

Learning Resources are discrete modules relating to an aspect of leadership development. They typically are comprised of:

  • Video content delivered by Andy Buck  
  • Accompanying slides that can be downloaded, as well as a Welsh language version
  • Additional tools, resources and articles

What is a Diagnostic Tool?

Diagnostic Tools give you an understanding or insight into an aspect of leadership. You can find more information on each of them here:

LM 360 - This unique peer review system enables you to thoroughly consider your own leadership qualities with 40 comprehensive questions.  

LM Engage - Measure the level of discretionary effort within your organisation with LM Engage.

LM Persona - Discover the predispositions that govern your decisions, strategy and personality and use these deep insights to accelerate your strengths and identify and improve your weaknesses.  

LM Style - Identify which styles you are more inclined to use and how you can benefit from trying new approaches to.  

LM Survey - Understand how your wider community feel with customisable surveys for pupils, parents and staff.  

LM Team - Understand your team's strengths and areas to improve on with this collaborative tool.

How do I change the Pathway I’m currently following?

Log in to your Dashboard and find the heading “LM Pathways”. Under that heading will be the option to Switch Pathways. Click “Switch Pathways” and then you can select which Pathway you want to follow. This can be done at any time.

What different Pathways are available and how do I know which Pathway I should be following?

There are 3 different Pathways available:

Aspirant Leader Pathway - Designed for teachers who are keen to take on a formal leadership role.  

Middle Leader Pathway – Designed for staff working as a middle leader or preparing for middle leadership.

Senior Leader Pathway – Designed for staff working as a Senior Leader or preparing for Senior Leadership.

Your setting’s training lead may assign you a different pathway depending on circumstances.

How long does it take for purchased books to arrive?

Ordered books are delivered to your school directly from our supplier within 10 working days.

How do I place a book order?

To place a book order, please contact info@leadershipmatters.org.uk and we will email you a Book Order Form for you to complete. Once this has been completed, the order will be processed on the system. Please be mindful that once an order has been dispatched, it can take up to 10-working days for it to arrive with your school. All our Leadership Books can be found on the ‘LM Books’ page of our website.

The Leadership Matters Referral Scheme

Is there a limit to how many referrals I can earn a reward for?

The rewards are uncapped so there is no limit.

Can I refer any school?

The organisation must not have taken out a paid Leadership Matters subscription in the last 12 months.

A Little Tip
How does it work and what is the reward?

Fill out this form with your details and the details of the organisation you want to refer. We’ll get in touch, and then when they take out a paid subscription your organisation will receive 10% of the value of that subscription.

Example – School A refers School B to Leadership Matters. School B takes out a subscription worth £600 and School A receives £60.

Any organisation that is an active Leadership Matters subscriber can refer another school or setting.

A subscribing organisation may know another organisation who would benefit from Leadership Matters. The Referral Scheme rewards organisations who introduce us to new subscribers.
