Maria O’Neill is an Advanced Skills Teacher who worked on many teaching and learning initiatives, led a School Improvement group on Assessment for Learning, mentored ITT teachers and delivered training to new and newly qualified staff.

She is currently working as Head of PSHE and eCadets Co-ordinator developing Personal and Social Development syllabus across all years with the specific focus on eSafety and digital wellbeing.

‍

Maria is studying for PhD in Educational Leadership researching values-based leadership, values-based curriculum and CPD programmes for Headteachers.

‍

She is also CEO and Co-founder of Healthy Toolkit HQ, an organisation established with the aim of providing advice to schools on pupil and staff wellbeing.

‍

Maria founded @UKPastoralChat as a platform for pastoral leaders at all stages to collaborate, share ideas and discuss issues surrounding pastoral care in education.

‍

Maria is a Regional Leader for #WomenEd, a grassroots gender equality movement that connects aspiring, emerging and serving women leaders in education. She is also a coach in the DfE’s women leading in education coaching pilot.
